Please don't judge me ladies.. I really love my son and he makes me so proud everyday, but I'm finding being a parent very tough since my mum went back to work and I'm on my own from 5am-10pm most days.. Also with all the drama with his dad, when he cries I just seem to have very little patience and seem to get so angry very quickly to the point I have to put him in his pram and leave him to scream while I take 5 to have a little cry. He's also been fighting his sleep.. He hasn't slept today atall since 11 this afternoon, he's exhausted but won't sleep even on my chest. He has no wind, he's cleared his bowels.. He's also taking 4oz every 2 hours.. I'm just really struggling. It's been so bad I haven't had time to eat or even go to the toilet today - I have literally peed once. Please tell me it will get easier 😭 I love him so much but my god he can touch every nerve and emotion 😩

Aw becoming a mum for the first time is very overwhelming and the first week I think you sort of just run of mummy power, it's the second and third week it all starts to catch up with you, the lack of sleep and that is probably making it all seem worse, I don't know if it gets better or you just get use to it, just take keep breaths and count to 5 , your little one is beautiful ☺ @beccastirlingx xxx

aww no don't be silly, no one will judge you, it's hard I know it's a lot harder then I thought it would be, you go through every emotion, I found myself crying for no reason and when he would cry and I'd fed and changed him I would cry because I didn't know what else he wanted! I'm sure tour doing great, but don't be afraid to ask someone for help, my hat goes off to all the mums doing it on their own @beccastirlingx 😊 try and sleep when he sleeps just to keep you going xxx

Aw poor you @beccastirlingx don't be too hard on yourself you're very brave to be doing this by yourself. Mention the way you're feeling to your midwife/HV as they may be able to offer some suggestions or support xx

@angie87, @zoemarie thank you so much ladies! Doing this on my own has been the hardest thing I have ever done, I'm just so lucky I have such a supportive and understanding family! And also all the lovely ladies here, makes the whole experience that little easier! I'm seeing my family nurse on Monday so will speak to her then! Thank you again xxx

Not judging you at all :) doing it alone must be really tough :/ how old are you? if you don't mind me asking. Maybe talk to someone about postnatal depression? Or just talking to a councillor about your struggles may help xxx

Awe hun :) Everyone goes through this :) you aren't alone :) When Maya is over tired she wont sleep and cries. It is fine to leave them for a few minutes to destress yourself :) He could be going through a growth spurt. Maybe up his feed by one oz :) See if he takes it hun Xx

@winterbaby95, I'm going to try that with his next lot of bottles and if he's still the same I'm going to speak to my family nurse about the hungry milk as that's thicker and satisfies them more! Just feel rubbish because I feel like I should be coping better than I am ahh! But I'm so tired and still really sore! Xx

It will get easier love he is still only small. They do like to test us sometimes but it sounds like your doing a great job by yourself. Leaving him for 5mins so you can get yourself together is a good idea so you can carry on trying to calm him cause he will pick up on your emotions. Keep positive and try stay calm (easier said than done sometimes I know) your doing your best 😊 xx @beccastirlingx

it's sooo stressful for any new parent but I think ur great for doing it alone, single mums are literally heroes!! I don't know how you's do it😩 but like everyone else has suggested talk to ur health visitor/family nurse for advice and reassurance. and as for taking five to calm down, my family nurse actually told me to do this if I'm ever stressed with my little one it's nothing to feel bad about hun. you seem a bit down but it does get so much better trust me! having so much alone time with ur little one, you'll get to know him/what he needs, it's still early days. stay positive xx
