I finally figured out why he has so much control over me, and why I'm having such a hard time getting over him. I loved him more than I loved myself. I had just gotten to the point where I felt beautiful in my skin, I was Happy with me, extra fat and all. then he came around and I started depending on him to tell me I looked pretty. i depended on him to make me happy. to make me smile. my mood was based off of how we were doing that day. I need to take that power away from him and find my self love again. I've been so miserable this past month. its like I don't even know who I am without him. I lost my identity trying to keep him happy and now I can't find it. that's why this particular break up is so hard.

I've been there and am guilty of doing the same thing right now with my husband. It's really easy to forget that we are in control of our own happiness and to put it off on others. That's probably one of the most damming things we could do to ourselves, to put our happiness in someone else's hands. You will learn how to be happy again without depending on him, you've got the right attitude. I wish you a quick recovery and hope that you will start to see just how wonderful you are on your own. thank you @maybaby2016 it took a month just to figure it out lol...usually after a break up I'm just like "whatever I'm Still a bad bitch" haha, but its different with him. i expected so much more out of him. and I thought he was different from other men his age.

I understand, it's freaking hard and unfortunately, this kind of thing is what causes us to put up walls and possibly miss out on something that could be good in the future. You will bounce back though and you'll be even stronger when you do.
