Both my girls slept on their bellies since birth.
It goes both ways. That was what they used to recommend and now they don't anymore. Just be cautious and keep an eye out.
@meagansimone, I don't like having anything in his bed , I'm very cautious, but its the only method ive found that he could sleep well
It's up to you. If there isn't anything in the bed, it's fine. It's not recommended until they can roll over though. My daughter refused to sleep on her back until closer to 4 months. So we laid her on her tummy.
Oh no 2 weeks old! They can't turn their heads. Please don't. :) wait until they can roll over for safety.
Just keep a eye on baby
