It sucks having to explain to my boys that their dads knife fighting techniques is not a smart way to fight or ever hold a knife.... "dad learned this in the army" no baby... no he didn't. He was never army. I'm not gonna lie to my son to play into his dads delusions and I'm not going to allow him to handle knives in a way that is dangerous to him just because his dad thinks its cool to swing a knife a certain way. I get it, you wanna be a "cool dad" but be "cool" by not lying to them and teaching them dangerous habits....

I can't help but roll my eyes every time "dad taught me this" comes out after my child doing something utterly ridiculous and extremely unsafe.

So happy they have people in their lives that can teach them proper and SAFE handling of weapons.
