Looking for honest opinions. We put the crib together today and when I was taking the parts out of the box I noticed one of the parts is broken. We superglued it and zip tied it and it's very secure. I pulled on it and leaned on the crib to make sure. I can't find just that piece online to buy, so we need a whole new crib. It could have been broken when we got it, or it could have broken in shipping or when we moved. Would you feel ok using this or would you spend the money on a new crib?

@m173, why don't you just return it and get a new one? I would have more piece of mind that way.

I would try and return it. you can never be too safe when it comes to baby's.

Yup call and return it, say it was damaged on arrival. Not safe to out your baby in a broken crib.

I'd be fine with it if you pulled on it etc and it's fine.. as long as you don't notice anymore cracking and it's very stable...

Oh okay. I would let the store know though that you just opened it and saw it. but I would let them know. just follow your gut

Wood glue would have been better than super glue. Maybe have someone put some screws thru in the backside. That would help a lot.
