If they didn't explain it to you at the hospital then that's their bad. But they do not recommend pacifiers or bottles that early if you want to breast-feed because then it could cause latch issues with your baby. Sometimes they will prefer the bottle or pacifier. Although it does kind of suck to have them prefer you all the time, that is just what we are made for. I know it can be a huge struggle, I am there myself but it does get better. I think a lot of times people do not go into thinking that they are meant to have a baby with them all the time. But our society has change so much that it's difficult to accept it. I still highly recommend doing what your doctor told you to do. It guarantees a high success that you have a good breast-feeding relationship because pumping doesn't always work out. And the baby at the breast is a lot more effective I getting the milk out than pumps. There's so many reasons why it's a good idea to do what you did. Hang in there mama these moments pass quickly!

I know what you mean!! My daughter won't take them either. They told me it would ruin her latch if she took it to early.
