Seriously? This is all my High School daughter gets given to her for lunch? Ridiculous

I guess that's lunch now an days I see no nutritional value in none of that just the milk

that's Florida for ya. when I lived in Neb for my last three yrs of HS, they had a buffet of food, sandwiches, hotfoods, a salad bar, fruit baskets and another room next door that sold snacks of all kinds.

I remember getting better lunch that this - more food, healthier options - when I was in school in Massachusetts. This is bs.

My daughter said the chef for her culinary class actually tried to petition the county for a better meal program that would cost the same as what the county is paying now for school lunch, and he put together this whole plan of how it could be done and had it all figured out and really wanted to see a change made for the health of all the kids... and the person he was meeting with that oversees all student lunch completely disregarded his program and said the program they have now is working just fine. Pushed his proposal away and told him to leave.
