I seriously hate that my family thinks I'm in the wrong for not wanting Estella around her biological dad.. He's a bully, manipulative, pretty sure he still does adderal like no other, and he drinks to much and doesn't know how to control his temper.. Why am I in the wrong for wanting to protect her from that?

It's because "he's making an effort". But he wasn't around at all during pregnancy and told me he wanted me to get an abortion. He hardly even asks about her. Like okay a crack addict could make an effort, still doesn't mean I should automatically allow them in her life. It's frustrating that I hardly have anyone on my side.

He should understand your reservations and that your not immediately like yesss come hang with her. Baby steps you don't want the door wide open but just cracked
