I've posted about this before but since my due date is SO close it's weighing on my mind…

I look at my baby's stuff and think how weird it's gonna be for him to be here using everything. like his bassinet sitting next to my bed. at night I'm like "omg Bens gonna be sleeping there in a few short weeks" it's hard to wrap my head around @emkasting

Same here. But I'm so worried that he won't be using all his stuff we have for some reason 😞. Like I said I absolutely HATE that these thoughts are even on my mind but I'm like paralyzed with fear that something is going to go wrong :(

Are you a FTM? I had that feeling with my first but now with my 3rd I'm just like....eh.

Girl, I Was Feeling That Same Way When I Went To The Hospital To Get Induced With My Daughter. I Even Felt Like That When I Was Pushing Her Out. But Once I Actually Saw Her And Held Her For The First Time, Everything Changed. Everything Just Felt Right. 😍 @emkasting

yeah this is my first @babes87101116 I'm driving myself absolutely crazy thinking that something is gonna go wrong and that's why I can't picture myself with him :(

@emkasting, I feel the same way...after losing 2 pregnancies I'm convinced something is going to go wrong an I even said last night to my bf I can't believe I made it this far I can't believe we have a son coming in 2 weeks. I think it's normal to be scared and nervous because I definitely have my moments but then I think of him being here and how happy I'm going to be and I get more excited than nervous and scared. and on the plus side I'll have my body back! and a son to take everywhere with me and go to yhe beach and on walks. I try to yhink of the good things and they take over the bad things

I've actually tried meditation, Ive used it a lot during stressful situations since I was a teenager and normally it works wonders, but for whatever reason it's not working the magic it normally does 😕 I have a psychiatrist that I go to weekly because I have such crippling anxiety about all this. I just hate that I can't shake the feeling that something is gonna go wrong. I just wanna know if this is normal for a FTM to feel this way @babes87101116

Yup I feel the same way all the time. I worry but it's a difference when you actually see your baby & the love you'll give that baby in the love he/or she will give you it's the love no one can ever give you. I've learned being a first time mom who's expecting, everything will be alright. Trust me.

I felt the same exact way with my 1st born but the feelings and anxiety eventually went away once I had him, I think it's normal especially for a FTM.

I'm right there with you. I have the biggest fear that I won't bond with her because half the time I forget she's even inside of me lol

Aww I'm sure you'll bond with her! My baby doesn't let me forget he's inside me haha, he moves ALL the time! @autumnjolene

what hospital do you go to @emkasting

I'm supposed to deliver at Methodist but when I went on my hospital tour I was less than impressed and they have a bed bug issue in the maternity ward so that immediately changed my mind about delivering there...I'm gonna deliver at IU north. What about you? @foehunnet

iu north!!!! i went on the tour last wendesday. its really nice!! they even have tubs if your water hasnt broke before u get tobl the hospital. they have a lounge bed for your bf. and their chef used to be hulk hogans chef! so i heard the food is really tasty. she said you can order stuff to have put in your mini fridge for late night snacking. they have streaming services (netflix.. hulu) instead of a dvd player. a seperate elevator for moms so people dont see ur baby and get to touching. they have tours Wendeday 6 and 7. and Saturdays 1 and 2

thats where ive been going since i found out i was pregnant.

@foehunnet I really really want to deliver there. The problem is my due date is Saturday and I haven't switched doctors because I had just done my hospital tour at Methodist the beginning of this week and I hated it. And they have bed bugs. But I don't know if any doctor will take me this late. It really is worrying me. I'm gonna call their physician referral line in just a little bit actually cause I just had a doc appt and I wanted to ask if any of the docs at my current OB office deliver at IU north too and they don't. So if a doctor won't take me this late then I'm out of luck and I'm really really frustrated cause I don't want to deliver at Methodist at all :(

u can deliver anwhere hell!! keep seeing ur doctor but when u have the baby go there to deliver.
