Is anyone taking or have taken Zoloft while pregnant for anxiety? I usually don't have bad anxiety, but this pregnancy has made it very unbearable. I hardly sleep, I'm having days where I feel like I'm going to pass out, it's controlling my mood and my life. I'm considering trying it, but the doctor says it can take up to 6 weeks to start working. I'm 14 weeks now, I just don't know that I'll need it the whole pregnancy since I felt almost the same way with my last pregnancy. Only difference is, this one is much harder she is a girl and I've only had boys. If anyone can help with some experience please let me know. I'm at my wits end over here. I'm having way more bad days than good and I'm borderline thinking I may be depressed too. Thanks.

I was also prescribed Zoloft during my pregnancy because I suffer from pmdd which is just like pms but worse and it last a week before your period and maybe a couple days into your period. My dr said pregnancy made it worse but I chose not to take Zoloft for the same reason I've just been coping. I am 21 weeks

my doctor tried to prescribe me zoloft for my depression cause it got real bad in my 2nd trimester when i asked her how it could harm the baby she said in some cases they have seen the baby come out blue and shaking but after a day or so the shaking stops and the blueness goes away i asked her why that was and she said its only happened a handful of times and doctors arent quite sure why it happens but they never saw anything else happen besides that so they claim it to be safe during pregnancy and they ask that you take it only up to your 3rd trimester then they want you to try and get off of it. i turned it down and just found ways to cope with my depression i didnt wanna risk anything hurting my daughter if it was so safe then they wouldnt push you to get off of it by your 3rd trimester you should be able to take it the whole pregnancy with no issues i just dont trust meds like that especially after she told me those side effects that they have seen in babies if it meant her health over me just learning to deal with my depression i chose her health

I was once prescribed zoloft until I read and heard about the bad side effects so I now take celexa 10mg which has no side effects whatsoever for me I love it but the only thing is with anxiety meds that's not something you can just start taking and quit so I would talk to my doctor about other options if you don't plan on being on the meds long term @maandiii
