So how do you know it's okay to let your baby cry itself to sleep? Like when do you feel comfortable? Because my child will cry until she gets picked up and I'm trying to just let her cry herself to sleep instead of me having to hold her all through the night

The first year is very new to them. Like actually letting cry to sleep more than 5 mins isn't a good idea. They are still so new at 2 months old.

Fussy is different than actually crying for their needs. It is okay and wait it out a bit and learn how long to let them fuss a bit. Cry it out is not productive! It can sometimes make things worse.

Your child is still too new, they can't see and need the warmth of your touch. After three months when they don't need that extra tlc you can let them cry it out only after you have tried everything.
