I had to do that in October last year and they just wanted me to apply for unemployment online and print out the confirmation page they give you once you completed it...

You should ask them what they would accept as proof because you haven't had a job in a year. They are so annoying! Do they have it in their system that you are receiving income from somewhere?

They usually make u sign up for the unemployment website and u just show them the confirmation and that usually works

Im not 100% sure of your situation but If you told whoever it is that you had a job and now you don't, then you need to get a letter from your previous employer saying you don't work there anymore. Other then that sounds like somebody is asking for some bs
