So I have a habit of swiping a finger in my vagina to clear out all the discharge while I'm in the shower.. I've done it for years but I'm worried about it now with pregnancy. When I do it now, I get my mucus plug everytime.. Could that be bad for the baby? Or for me in general..

u won't get ur mucus plus just from that but if ur worried don't do it

It's not your plug. You're way to early for that. It's just extra discharge. It's normal to have extra discharge during pregnancy. I would say don't go digging for it. Just clean the outside Towards the end of my pregnancy around 37 weeks I was having so much discharge one day I thought my water was leaking and I ran to the dr. And I never lost my plug.

I read that you get your plug in the first month.. And it's long thickish white and stringy and it's like all together. I guess I should just break the habit of doing it all the time. Thanks ladies! @valrocks @mommy2bee1696 @emileebri2522

Yes. It comes in at the beginning to hold everything in like a cork but it doesn't come out till the end.
