Finally. Dr said there was no change from last week so we go to the hospital tonight at 9:45 to be…

question....did you ask to be induced or did doctor just do it? I didn't know if you had any reasoning for it or not. This is my 1st and I'm ready to be induced at 39 weeks I just didn't know if they let you decide or not.

@jacesterlingsmommy I basically just said I was done lol. She was going to last week but decided to do a membrane sweep and wait to see if it worked (it didn't). I've been dilated to 1 1/2 cm for almost a month and soft but absolutely no progress. Today she checked and even after the sweep last week I'm still only 1 1/2 and soft so I told them I wanted to be induced. I've been horribly uncomfortable and done everything everyone said to try and none of it worked. I would ask if you're ready. I wish I would've pushed it last week. The membrane sweep sucked (pain and pressure) and it was only a 50/50 chance it would work anyway.

I'm only 37 weeks now so I still have a couple to wait. I'm beyond done too and uncomfortable. lol. I know she said she could try a membrane sweep at 38 weeks which is when my next appointment is next week. She's checked me twice now and I'm not even soft or anything so I have little hope. I know she said I could be induced at 39 if I wanted but she recommended waiting longer because FTM tend to not do well with induction and end up with a c section (which who obviously wants that) so she put some fear in me lol but I'm seriously considering being induced at 39.

@jacesterlingsmommy yeah the membrane sweep sucked. I'm a FTM too but my dr said that there was only a slightly higher chance of c section if induced. If I waited more than a week or two longer I was pretty much guaranteed a c section because his head circumference was in the 81% and he wouldn't fit. 3 of my friends and 2 of my cousins were induced at 39 and 40 weeks and all but 1 were uncomplicated vaginal births. 😊

Well that makes me feel better lol. I have no idea what mine weighs, haven't had an u/s since 20 weeks and won't get anymore. Good luck and hope all goes smoothly for you!

Weight wise he's about average 3 weeks ago he was 6 1/2 pounds so they're estimating him to be 7-8 pounds but his head was measuring a little bigger lol

They haven't given me an idea at all recently. I was told at 30 weeks he was about 2 1/2 lbs which is a little smaller than average so I have a feeling he will be a smaller baby, they thought maybe 6-7# at birth.

@jacesterlingsmommy I measured small the whole time then about a month ago I measured ahead by a week for 2 weeks then measured small again last week but measured right on time this week. It was so random.
