your baby will still need time to develop...

that is a huge no no they should stay in the mom for as long as they can so their lungs can fully develop...if you try to induce labor your baby might need help like a ventilator when they are born

their lung aren't full develop at 37 weeks

You could try but induction methods don't work unless the baby is ready to come out.. So they COULD work... Or you could be trying different things until 41 weeks lol. Baby runs things at this point lol

talk to your doctor. That is the only person that can tell you what you can and can't do. Mine says term is 37, I get my membranes swept then and he gave me a list of things to naturally inducd.

Agree with @hermommy . Baby is term at 37 weeks jump on a ball eat some pineapple and do some walking. I wouldn't consider those a no no . But speaking with your doctor will make you feel comfortable

Full term is 37-42 weeks as long as they have developed according to schedule then it's safe at 37 weeks.

lm not at that point yet, I'm 30 weeks. That is just my OB's plan to avoid induction at 39. He will try to get her naturally first

The American Congress of Obstertrics and Gynecologists have declared that full term is no longer 37 weeks, but that it is considered early term. This is why doctors can no longer induce before 39 weeks unless medically necessary. If you want to self induce after 37 weeks, it's in your best interest to ask your doctor what is considered safe rather than to ask here because you will get lots of incorrect information that could also be potentially dangerous.

I'm 37 weeks and I'm doing stuff to help me dilate because I'm not showing any signs of it. I got told by the doctors at the hospital they're concerned full term at like 37 weeks! I walk everyday until I can't stand the pain anymore. I think you'll be fine to start it, it's not like the baby is gonna come right away.

They recently changed the weeks for full term because they found that things aren't fully developed at 37 weeks like baby's lungs and brain. Full term is now 39-40 weeks as @arivera64 stated. But as she also said, talk to your doctor about natural ways to induce and when you should start trying things out. They're the most familiar with your baby's growth and can let you know what's safe and unsafe. 😊 Good luck.

A babies weight doesn't make them full term, 37 weeks is to early. I wouldn't do it you waited that long keep waiting!
