How long should I wait to travel with a newborn immune system wise?? .. Im pressured because all the family is up in Pennsylvania, and Im in Tennessee and well, his family is very snarky, and wont be patient, and my father passed away so I really want to go to his grave, and such, and we would be driving up. He will be breast fed, and I would keep him warm, and safe, I literally have everything he needs, should I worry, and stay home for a while first, or wait a week, or two, and go up.

I would wait atleast two weeks if where you are going is more than a two hour drive. Its really important to get that bonding time in with him. I'm flying out to AZ (from MO) next week, my son will be 4wks. As long as you keep him fed and away from strange, germy hands, he should be fine. (I keep hand sanitizing wipes in my diaper bag, they've saved me SO many times! :)
