I need advice! My almost two year old wakes up at 3 every morning and will not go back to sleep for HOURS, like sometimes 7! My infant sleeps better than him. He goes to bed easy at bedtime at 8:30. I dunno what to do. This has been going on for months. I'm over it.

do what I did with my niece I ended up just making her stay on her room even if she was up and walked to my room ID walk her back and put her back after a week of tears and some serious attitude she ended up just staying in bed I also got her a TV in her room a little one with a DVD player and that helps too

Yes one nap at 1:30ish but if I skip it he passes out at 5 and I can't keep him awake and then it's hard at bedtime. @jumimom

@airannamama, I have tried that, maybe I need to be more persistent but I have walked him back to his room crying for over two hours before for days 😫and I have even given in out of exhaustion and put him in bed with me and my stubborn child laid there 4 hours without falling asleep!

maybe try naps a little earlier like 1230 and only let him sleep for an hour. I had to shorten my son's naps because he'd be up all night.

@airannamama, @jumimom I am so at a loss about it. It is almost 6:30 and he is just now asleep again, he woke up at 3. I know he is tired. You add that to my 3 month olds sleep cycle and I am getting almost no sleep. The other night they ganged up against me and I only got 2 hours and then 3 hours the next night. I can't function like that. And neither can my toddler. He is grumpy all day because he is tired but the little guy just won't sleep!

yeah you can't give in. if you give in then he is going to keep doing the same thing in all honesty a few sleepless nights will do wonders in the long run tell him if he gets out of bed he doesn't get to watch to TV in the morning or say you aren't going to play outside today. it works trust me

I guess I'll just have to be more stubborn than my son... That's not easy at 3 in the morning, but I'm sure he got it from me, and I have more experience at it. Lol. Thank you @airannamama @jumimom

oh trust me I know specially when you have a newborn and all you want to do is sleep when they're sleeping I get where you're coming from
