They give you a sugary drink, wait an hour, & then draw your blood to see how your body is breaking down glucose to determine if you have gestational diabetes

And if I fail that test what happens? @loveerii can I eat before my appointment or do I have to wait it out ?

I wouldn't eat anything sugary, just something light. If you fail, they do the three hour test.

Do not eat before the test and if you can walk for at least 30 min cuz help to low the sugar level in your blood ... The oh Assistent forget to tell me to do not eat at least 2 hrs before the test and they had to made me do the 3 hrs test cuz the level of sugar was highly .... Come out that I don't have diabetes ... The drink lemon flavor is not so bad just make sure you do not trow up ... Good luck
