help I have questions for my newborn! I think he has developed jaundice since the whites of his eyes since late this afternoon have yellowed some. He has seemed sleepier today then normal but having 6 pee diapers a day and around 6 poop ones as well. feeding alot more than normal as well. And spitting up alot no matter how much he burps. We are going to the pediatrician tomorrow but I'm a little nervous is there anything I can do tonight he seems so grumpy tonight! ),,:

Sucks his milk seems to be upsetting him since that's how they get the bilirubin under control by pooping it out they much eat well for that .. Try to get him some sunlight tomorrow before the pediatrician like if you have window in the home that gives natural sunlight lay him there in just a diaper for 30 mins at a time .. He will pee out the excess bilirubin that way.. My son had jaundice spent 3 days in nicu

they can give him some eye ointment for it. breast milk help of your breast feeding, put some in the corners on the eyes. peeing will help clean it out. don't be too worried. my son was super orange and his eyes we're really yellow. days after he got home. and sun light helps!

feed, feed, feed. The more he eats and goes potty is how he'll get rid of it. Sunlight helps as well but mainly him peeing and pooping it out of his system. My daughter had it really bad when she was born.

My pediatricians told me there's son called "breast milk jaundice" where only their eyes have a yellow tint. Breast milk has bilirubin in it or something like that. It's fairly common and has no negative side effects. Hopefully that's all it is. Of course if his skin turns yellow or orange and he won't wake to feed that's definitely not good. Hope that doctors can give you some answers. Good luck to you and that sweet baby. 😊

If you can put him by a window that's sunny and let the sun on him for 15 min a few times durring the day. That's what I was told to do when my first son had jaundice

Awesome I opened all the blinds in the house so as soon as it gets sunnier I will have him in front of the blinds! @39surp

@dohmommy2016, 😃 hope it helps. I had to take my son back a few times because his was so bad. He was yellow all over😬. If it's just your baby's eyes should be just fine with a little sun. Just make sure to check that baby doesn't start turning red and burn from sun even inside by window. I had to cover the side the sun hit after a few min and turn him around for the sun to get other side of him each 15 min.

Yea, same advice. Open windows and lay him in the sunlight that comes in. Goodluck!
