In your diaper bag always keep a extra outfit in case of a blowout or baby spits up. Bibs. Extra socks, diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer.
I forgot burp rags. My son was in the nicu so I took plenty of swaddling blankets from our hospital I would wear it and bring it back so it smelled like me so I had plenty. They can double as receiving blankets and burp rags. Of course you'll want to pick your coming Home outfit. That's a big deal for a lot of people.
@princevince, thanks so much for spending the time letting us know what we need😘
You have to have a car seat otherwise you can't bring the baby home. Other than that you don't need much other than baby necessities like clothes diapers and blankets. Swaddling blankets were a must have for me my son loved to be swaddled. The muslin cotton ones were amazing. Formula if you're not breastfeeding, bottles. I recommend dr Browns. They're the best. A bottle brush was not something I thought of but I received at my baby shower was a good thing to have on hand before baby comes home. A bassinet unless you will co sleep. Everything else can come later. Unless you want to be fully prepared. In that case a swing, bouncer. We got a pack and play just for our downstairs. Had a newborn insert so he could sleep there while we were downstairs. Flipped over for a diaper changing station. Upstairs in our room we had the diaper changing table that we could change him on. Inside we put diapers, wipes, q tips. Vaseline (good to have on hand if you have a boy and will circumcise you will need plenty) also diaper cream. A kit with a thermometer, a nose Frida to suction boogers (so amazing!). That's all in the drawer of our diaper changing table upstairs. We got our sons crib when he was 3 months old. He's in our room and we have his nursery somewhat decorated but I'm scared to put him in there just yet. Those are the basics. Not everything you need all a baby really needs is a place to sleep, milk and a lot of love. Of course they need diapers and clothes but you get what I'm saying. Hope this helps! @nevaehsmommy87
car seat, coming home outfit, I used onesies when she was at the hospital, socks, burp rag, diapers and wipes are given to you at the hospital, and I brought swaddling blankets.@nevaehsmommy87, @kdubs2066
