I was adamant on being mobile , request a monitor that is wireless so your not stuck in the room. Have things to try and take ur mind off labor cuz they aren't joking when they tell you that drug induced contractions are more intense! I had some complications with labor so ask everything that u can think of. And try to remember that this is all up to baby and ur body . Sometimes we don't get the birth plan that we wanted.i wish someone had told me that after being admitted
@myliltadpole1116, thank you! I am still hoping I go into labor naturally but I'm scared of being induced.. And I can't get an epidural so hopefully I can cope just fine
@hkatedavis,do you know if you can have an analgesic instead? It only lasts for a few hours and you shouldn't take it too soon to delivery because it can make the baby drowsy but that was an option for me if I didn't want an epidural.
I don't know the specifics of the drug itself but it was mentioned and explained to us in my labor class . U can ask ur dr or wait and the nurses can tell u exactly what it is. An analgesic is like ibuprofen tho , that's just an example..
