No not really, they use pitocin ... But you can decide not to get an epidural

when any type of medication is used it is not considered natural.... natural is 100% med free

pitocin is a medication used to make the uterus contract, it would just be considered a vaginal delivery I would think.... I was given pitocin after my c-section so my uterus would contract back down, since I never went into labor

From the definitions I've read natural child birth is still natural even when induced. "Natural childbirth attempts to minimize medical intervention, particularly the use of anesthetic medications and surgical interventions such as episiotomies, forceps and ventouse deliveries and caesarean sections." It becomes "unnatural" when they have to use surgery or pain medications. Even my ob has told me my children's birth will be natural even with induction as long as my twins agree and don't flip causing me to have a c section.

I just looked it up myself lol and yes it is still considered natural when pitocin is used, even tho that medication is used @jasminemaye ☺

For me, when a baby comes out of your vagina it's natural. Meds or no meds. Then you have a surgical birth, or a c-section. Why complicate it?
