Colace helps me. And it's on he approved list. It's not instant though.

In school we were taught how to remove fecal impaction by breaking up impacted poop with a gloved finger.....you can go the less gross route and place your thumb in your vagina and manually push the poop out. If you are that constipated you will feel it when you put your finger in.

I hesitate to share that info on social media but sometimes when you are desperate to go, you gotta help yourself.

Make you something to eat in coconut oil or if you can stomach it take you a few spoonfuls of it

@arivera64, that hurts so bad! The hospital tried to do manual extraction from me and it hurt and had me in tears! I'm usually not a crier either.

@lalamichelle0707, did they do it rectally? Rectally hurts. Vaginally pushing it out is uncomfortable but not painful. However i suppose it depends on your level of constipation plus pain tolerance. Ever since my cesarean 5yrs ago, my bowel habits have never been the same. I find myself doing this at least once a week. sigh

@arivera64, yes they did it rectally. Since my c section I have had to use enemas to go! Stool softeners, diet changes etc don't work at all!

yes! use a liquid glycerin suppository. it works in seconds!!! you can buy them at a drug store... I use these. it's says for kids but it works for me
