Is it weird to like a name because of its nickname?
That is pretty much calling her by a different name as opposed to a nickname, I wouldn't blame you for being upset by that @nicemmcha2015
@proudmama0407, oh no, you definitely have a right to tell ppl your child's name isn't to be shortned if you don't want it to be. calling my daughter Emma is changing her name.completely. We call her Emmi but that's a nickname her dad and I gave her. it doesn't change her name like cutting it in half does.
With or without his nickname, Zayden is a cool name @zaysmomma lol
Seems like nicknames will happen, especially with longer names, whether you want them to or not @firsttimemommy014 @nicemmcha2015
Yeah, it's better to have a nickname in mind. My mom just had a baby and she named her Josieclaire. Everyone always calls her Josie and my mom gets pissed. But it's like she can never have a nickname
my daughter is emmalynn and ppl try to call her Emma and I correct them and tell them if I wanted her to be called Emma I would of named her Emma. so nicknames for longer names can be a blessing and a curse. but if we ever have a boy his name will be Elijah so we can call him Eli 😂
our daughters name is Madilyn and when people call her Maddie i correct them.. one thing i dont like about her name
yeah i just dont like it though
