It could be something you're eating

He could have colic, does he start sucking vigorously and then stop to cry , and then repeat ?

no he'll just eat and the start crying and then try and eat more then unlatch and cry. then there's times where he won't even latch on even if I put my boob in his mouth.

Start by cutting out dairy

My baby is one month as well and does this when he's really tired and fighting it or if he's gassy or has to poop. I just keep trying and eventually he latches.

Have you tried different feeding positions? Or a nipple shield?
