so irritated with my husband right now. I make $200 a week he makes over a grand every 2 weeks. I buy everything for our kids and all the groceries plus put gas in the vehicles. he wants me to start giving him $100 a week for bills.. like really all you have to do is pay rent(which is only $100), electric, and propane.. I literally have no money as is but now im going to have to choose between gas, food, or bills...

That's so tough! Have you written out your income and the bills you pay for (gas, food, etc.) with that money and showed him? Maybe a financial chat about your combined income and how you both will pay together. You have kiddo's together and live together so it is combined income and he should be paying for kiddo stuff too.

Uhm that doesn't sound correct! I agree sit down with him and write out all the bills and the needs and explain to him how much you spend already. Most guys don't understand

If you guys are married why don't you put all your money both of you make in a joined bank account. Pay all the bills and get things you need like groceries, gas, ect and then decide together what to do with the extra money. Like save it or spend on whatever you guys decide

@mommy_faith, he doesn't think we should get a joined account because his parents have never done it like that. they keep their money separate and that's how he thinks it's supposed to be

That's so weird to me! My sister in law and her husband do that and I never understood it. My husband and I have joined bank accounts and always have. I stopped working about a year ago because of the kids so I'd be screwed if we didn't do it that way lol
