membranes sweeps ain't nothing to be scared of boo.. when you are dilated enough once in your late 3rd tri, they insert a finger or two in there and do like O or C movement in your cervix to detach the baby sac from your cervix.. it's uncomfortable but not painful .. then a stretch ? they literally stretch your cervix with their fingers. (that was a bit more than uncomfortable) but both are a kick start to start up labor :) @mrs_velez
