What if i cant financially afford to take a maternity leave? I bust my butt everyday asset work and work the maximum hours possible but i know i can't afford a maternity leave. I work an office job, had anyone went straight back to work within the week? Please no negative comments or shaming.

look into a home job to help cover bills some people do go early cause they can't afford it what is your policy at work?

i work with my uncle so he's very open. and all the at home jobs ive found you have to pay a huge start up fee. @mama_icie

@sammyj, try FMLA or if you have AFLAC or any kind of short term disability policy, they cover it. that's how my coworker got her maternity leave

I feel you on that my job doesn't offer it so I have just been making due and doubling up on my rent every month so that I can pay it up until sept. so far I have paid until August. It's been tight but I have to do what I have to do to make sure that my rent is at least paid if nothing else.

I went back to work after 2 weeks with my daughter, I couldn't afford a leave either but it took that long to physically be able to work again. you'll be very sore but just take it easy and hopefully your boss will be understanding! good luck
