I am so stressed out. My mother drives me crazy and our relationship is so rocky. I can't even have a relationship with anyone on her side of the family without her getting jealous about it. She's nice to my fiancés face but then talks mad shit about him to everyone else. She's always so negative about everything. You can't talk to her about anything without her interrupting and making it about her. She was suppose to throw me a baby shower but just randomly decided not to, even when others in my family told her they would do it, she told them not to worry about it. I don't get why she is trying to make my life so difficult. She can never just be happy for me. She is most bitter and hateful person I've ever met. I can't win. Even if I stand up to her, she makes herself the victim. She was even disappointed when she found out the baby was a boy and not a girl. Petty shit. I'm sick to my stomach right now. Idk what to even do anymore.

Girl, walk away. I struggled with the same thing for years and finally I had to accept that my mom and I would never have a good relationship until she changed. I can't change her and you can't change your mom...it takes two people to make a relationship work, romantic or not

And remember that just because she's blood doesn't mean you have to put up with it. It is never unacceptable for you to cut toxic people out of your life and do what's best for you!

@shayleesimmons, you're exactly right. She ended up starting a whole mess of drama tonight for no reason. I sent her a text letting her know that it's up to her to end the negativity and drama. Otherwise she doesn't need to be a part of me and my son's life. She stopped replying. I just want peace. I don't need to be stressing at all right now.

@lumbeemama, it's no problem I completely understand how stressful this type of situation can be...it's hard when it's your mom because it's your mom. I always kept hoping mine would change and we'd be like best friends as I got older but no luck

@shayleesimmons, that's how it is. It's always something with my mother, but now that I'm about to have a child of my own I just can't. I've tried to let things go with her but I'm at the point where I'd prefer to walk away completely than continue to deal with the drama.
