My thing is it's no body business to know if a person is LGBT or not. As long they are minding their business and we do the same without no problem this would not be a big issue. This law wouldn't help any but make the issue worse. @mcrowell0970 @shayleesimmons

@mcrowell0970, that's how I feel too. It should be left alone. But sadly, people are transphobic and have created this huge panic over this and it will have to go one way or the other...and in that case, I think they should legally be allowed to use whatever restroom they please for the reasons I have stated. It is literally a pot to piss in.

@mcrowell0970, I don't think you realize it's a big deal now because people are trying to push laws that prevent transgenders from using their preferred bathroom. That is why they are fighting for that right. I've been talking about this in every comment I've tagged you in.

I understand where you're coming from and what others are saying which I'm grateful for everyone opinions on this law but we can't always get what we want but it won't hurt to fight for it but no one not going to see eye to eye on this situation and other situations like the gun law and whatever is going on @alainalovesmommy

The victims are NOT at fault and I KNOW the event is traumatic both ways. A person like me wouldn't be so blunt and just say go take defense class no that's harsh and not being mindful of the victims feelings. I mean like when things slowly settles down and you're not beating yourself up for something that wasn't your fault but you want to be strong again and get your dignity back. Self defense classes would help and be useful for whatever danger you're gonna be in next. You want to be prepared and not have the pain happen again @shayleesimmons

I'm not saying that the bathroom idea is a good thing but some transgender people just want to go to the bathroom in peace . not all people are bad and sickos won't always go after children

If someone had told me after I was raped that I should have taken a self defense class and it wouldn't have happened I probably would have hit them. Anyone who assaults someone is the problem, not the victims. Trans are just people wanting to be safe and pee in peace. It may seem like a waste of time and money to you but that's where you gotta be open minded and imagine if it was your life or someone you loved.

What you're not looking at is, when the first molestation happens. The transgender will get the blame! Also yes them sickos can walk right on in sure, but now as long as they feel like a woman. They're able to do it legally! Then when the first case happens, whose name get bashed? Yup the transgender! So you're not going them a favor! Anyways why not just leave it the way it was, where they came in as they pleased. No one cares then, because if cops got called on a molester then, the cops could take action. Now the girls or boys will be "lying", due to a law that doesn't need to be made. Because transgender men and women have been using the bathroom of choice as is.

its a bathroom you go in and out , you don't send kids in by themselves anyways . or just use the family restroom if one is there

I'm not sacred or worried, I'm in no less danger than I was before and I have been attacked by a man dressed as a man while I was in a female locker room. He didn't need to dress or pretend to be a woman...Transgendered people are subject to sexual assault as well, I think it's unfair to force transgendered women to use a men's restroom when men could attack them in there, because they may have breasts and even a vagina. I wouldn't want to be forced to use a men's restroom...so if they live their life as a woman than they should be allowed to use the female restroom.

True true being pregnant make it difficult to not use public restroom lol yet if this is going on what the point of this law? If it's not just the law enforcement but it also the anti-gay groups this law is not needed. It's a waste of time honestly. @deafmama16, well with that argument someone could tell you to pee in the comfort of your own home...you can't chose when you have to pee lol. And law enforcement isn't the main issue, trans people are getting beaten up in restrooms.

Pee in the comfort of your own home where you dont have to worry about the discrimination and the pain that you will endure from anti gay people @dflowers if it's only just for comfort that's a wrong way to go about it. In the end this law may NOT give trans the comforts that they fought for through this law. It not just rape. It could be something far more dangerous and it will hurt them and also us whatever it may be

No one monitors the bathrooms anyways, I've never seen anyone standing outside the bathroom seeing if someone looks like a female or male or not. So how is this law any different than before? Anyone literally could walk into either gender bathroom if they wanted, dressed like whatever. Accompany your children if you are worried and go to the bathroom in twos.

With the laws they're wanting to pass preventing transgenders using their preferred bathrooms you can accuse anyone of looking like the opposite sex and they'll get dragged out by police...that actually already happened with a masculine looking woman. I personally feel that if you're worried about the safety of your children, don't send them in the restroom alone. I've been in the women's restroom when a man has come in with his daughters and no one cared.

I don't think a law banning them from a restroom will keep rapists from raping any more than a law making rape illegal. Trans people just want to pee wherever they feel comfortable. You don't think a trans woman is more likely to be molested in the men's restroom?

I know also too from experience with a military guy @klarrissab yes you're right but don't you see that it can just make it more worse than it already is? @arivera64 exactly! How you know who a trans? Should security guards be involved or cameras being installed in bathroom now to prevent and catch the criminal? What is exactly is this bathroom law going to do not just for the LGBT Communities but for our safety and privacy? What about our children who came out what if they become the victims?

I know a cross dresser when I see one but never in a female bathroom where I am or wherever I go @dflowers I'm not only looking at the dangers for females but for both genders including childrens

Well i also think about how many men and women are already comitting crimes in the bathrooms. There are men who touch boys and women who touch girls. Plus, how would you really know if someone is trans? I know some really masculine females and imagine someone stopped them and said they couldnt use the restroom because they look like a man?

Trust me rapists and molesters will attack you no matter what law is in place. I know from experience...they don't need a law to break into a woman's bathroom or locker room to attack you.

If this law is passed think about how many people who will say that they are LBGT but really aren't and they are rapist, child molesters, serial killers, eat you name it. This law can give them an open opportunity to commit drastic crime in a bathroom. Our LGBT brother and sister could possibly get beaten to death because of their sexually in a bathroom. Their is so many con that can possibly happen if this law is passed. Why ask for more when you got what you been fighting for all these years? How is it putting you in danger? If they feel they are a woman than they are most likely attracted to men and not worried about women in a restroom...also what about the straight men that share bathrooms with boys? Straight men are more likely to molest little kids than a transgendered one... I don't understand the fear. A guy could cross dress and attack you in a bathroom even before this law...
