IMO you're a mom as soon as you find out you're pregnant. I'm a mom, my child just isn't here yet. saying "to be" mom's because our babies aren't here yet is just like saying "has been" mom's for moms that have had their child pass away.. it's just not right.

i wasn't aware that, despite taking care of myself & my son for half a year, and changing my life before he is outside of my womb, doesn't qualify me as a mom...
