Happy Mothers Day to all of the amazing women who have the hardest, most thankless, and most rewarding job in the entire world. I'm so blessed to be able to celebrate my first mothers day this year with my little love in my arms.
My Savannah Marie made a surprise appearance at 37 weeks on May 4th, 2016 at 10:52pm. After a 6 hr labor admitted at 3cm with consistent contractions and a little leaking fluid, by 10:30 she burst my water bag, kicked me all the way to 10 cm and after only 12 minutes of pushing, my baby girl debuted at 6 lb 11 oz and 19 in. It was forever the best day of my entire life and I'd do it all over again, from the very beginning of the 9th month, a hundred times over for this blessing. I am honored to be her mom and I understand the universal feeling of having your heart outside of your body.
Enjoy the day because of those who were chosen to have you as their mom. Nobody else in the world can be a mother to your children in the ways that you are and have been and always will be, regardless of single or married, adoption or birth, natural or medicated, motherhood is a privilege. Rest those weary eyes and feet today if you can, mommas, and if you can't... just bask in what you know to be the hardest job in the world only us women can do. 😘
