It frustrates me that my MIL got onto my step babies for buying me gifts. she told them they shouldn't have bought me anything because I'm not their mother. They are just kids and I may not have given birth to them but they are still my babies and I love them as if I had given birth to them that will never change. I understand that it gets under hers and their mommas skin, but I will never mistreat them or hurt them. My step daughter calls me "momma 2". I think that is what pisses her off more than anything.

Wtf??!! Omg gotta love in laws. I'm sorry. That shit is not ok. I'd give you advice but it would be mean and petty because I would tell you to say something mean. Usually I'm all about being classy but when it comes to in laws I have no patience because one of my in laws is just a really bad person

My husbands ex wife did the same to my step Baby. Told her she couldn't give me the gift she made me because she is her only mom. ☹️😭

@jojobear0819, I understand that its hard but you should never punish a baby for them being nice to someone you dont like. Its not their fault. That's what frustrated me is they were punishing the kids. They dot deserve it

If those kids got you a Mother's Day gift it's because they feel as though you are a mother figure to them! I went through the same thing when I was a kid because I always brought my stepdad a Father's Day gift. But to me he was like another father, he took care me us & my mom. The kids don't mean any harm by it and they'll see when they get older what's going on and appreciate you even more seeing what all you go/went through and still being there for me. Stay strong girl! 😊
