Man oh man. Let's start off with saying I'm lucky to have my husband. Facebook is never the place for my rants, so I apologize you ladies have to get the brunt of it.
I've been stressed. Plain and simple. I've been trying to take care of my husband after his surgery while trying to maintain school, integrate a new dog into the house that was already an adult when we got him basically and also have been severely resisting the instinctive need to nest.
The reason I have been resisting nesting is because I was trying to give my husband time to train this dog. We were told he's potty trained but he is not. He's also gotten into my baby's room and peed on his floor (because it was literally the only room he hadn't marked) and then decided to chew his shoes. Luckily he didn't get the chance to rip them all up. But I was livid and heartbroken. My husband and I have paid for eveything for our baby on our own. Thousands of dollars worth. By ourself. Family has bought a gift maybe two. And I chose not to have a baby shower because I'm new here and don't know anyone really. I also have everything set up and in place because it means so much to me to be able to introduce Krystian to his home and even though he will never know this, his dad and I worked hard to provide for him and want to be like "Look, we did this all for you because we love you so very much." I felt like this dog just fucking ruined that and the specialness.
I was going to keep the dog and work with him but even my husband is now saying we shouldn't have gotten him because he outgrew us so fast and he's being defiant because of it. Imagine what he will do when baby comes and he won't have as much attention. So my husband wants to find him another home. Especially after what happened tonight.
Tonight, my husband was taking time for more training and reward and giving the dog lots of love and attention. I was eating my dinner watching them. After my husband finished giving the dog his treats, the dog came into the living room, literally looked at me and started peeing.
I went. The fuck. Off.
I scared this dog so bad because of how pissed I got. He peed in two spots on my floor and on my couch. My husband grabbed him and took him outside. I say down and started crying. I was so upset because I'm trying so hard to resist the urge to clean and nest and prepare and now this damn dog is making it worse by pissing everywhere. I am an extremely clean person and me not preparing for my baby has me stressed the fuck out.
My husband came inside and when I got up after crying, I felt a little bit of water between my legs and there was some contractions. I don't think my water broke...I hope it didn't. I'm trying to relax with a bath and now my husband is trying to find a better fit for the dog. Basically, I've literally been so stressed out that I'm pretty sure if it keeps up, I'm gonna send myself into pre term labor. Which is NOT okay.
I pray to God this all works out so I can have my house back and be prepared for my baby finally.

First off I hope you and baby are okay. And I'm dealing with the same exact issue with out dog. Finally got to the point where we are giving him back this weekend. I didn't want it to happen like this but he ruined my apartment and peed every where & he's trained. I understand your pain mama

That's shitty. I wanted to keep him too. :( I tried very hard to lightly nest and give my husband time to train him, but the main thing I wanted to do before baby was clean the carpets and I can't do that when he's pissing everywhere. Thank you though. I think baby and I are ok. Just went a little over the edge.
