For moms who have already had babies with jaundice what were your babies levels when they let you go…

My babies was very low we went home after 3 days she had to get blood work done twice to check it

@sammy_riley2016, what did your babies levels reach? and what were they when they went home?

We were in the hospital the standard four days. I believe the highest Ava's level was a 5.3.

@ahauge6, My daughter got blood work last night at 11am and her level was 9.5 she got blood work again at 6am and they were still 9.5 they got blood work again at noon and they went up to 9.8 and then she got checked again at 6pm and they were 9.9, the nursery nurse said that if the babies levels weren't at a 12 or high 36 hours after being born it was a good sign and she would most likely be able to go home tomorrow because shell be 48 hours old at 10:49pm tonight. I'm just worried they won't let her go home after all and it'll be another night we stay here. I just wanna cuddle my baby! 😭😭

Her highest was 9.2, we went home in 3 days, went to the doctors within 1-3days had to get blood work done, her levels hadn't gone down then we did it again and they were down so everything was ok

They sent my daughter home with a 8.4 when it started out at an 11.4. I had to take her to her doctor the day after we got out of the hospital (we were there for 48 hours) to get her level checked again. It was an 7.9 that day and they wanted to check it the following week because they were still concerned. I took her out in the sun everyday for atleast and hour and that helped tremendously and she didn't need to get tested again since her eyes and skin looked amazing! Hopefully they let you go home soon!!

@kristinamorandi, okay, so if they do send me home should I take her outside for a while to help? I'm so confused because her skin looks SO much better and isn't even yellow anymore but her levels are there still. I just want to cry and I already have a million tines

@rainbowbaby2015, that's what my daughters pediatrician told me to do because of the vitamin D. I would highly suggest it especially if they want to check them again. Make sure you expose as much skin as you can. My daughter enjoyed it too

My babies are still in NICU for other reasons since they were born at 32 weeks but they were on photo therapy for two days before their levels were okay.

My little guy was on photo therapy for 2-3 days. But he had to stay in the NICU because he was only 32 weeks
