Should you always put your baby down to sleep at 3 months to teach them to sleep alone? She sleeps alone at night but I like to hold her during the day when I can is that ok?

It's always ok to hold your baby and love them. If you want to start sleep training that is a great idea. I learned the hard way.

Every baby is different. My son slept with me and my husband every night until he was maybe 6 months old and we had no problem getting him use to sleeping by his self. He's one and rarely sleeps in the bed unless he's just having a bad night.

Once you start trying to transition don't give in. It might take a week or a month but you have to stick with it. And get your baby on a really good schedule, that will help a lot. @sammy_riley2016
