wondering if mobile homes still have that bad reputation of being for poor people and not safe in…

Honestly , my mom lives in one. It's beautiful. She pays 751$ a month for lot rent which is just as much as some month mortgages for a house so it's definitely not cheap lol.

Who cares what people think, I seen mobile homes nicer than a lot of homes the judgemental people have.

yes, it's very nice. even has a jacuzzi in master bedroom and washer and dryer hook up. I figured this would give me more room and privacy than an apartment would .. just until it's time to buy a house. I plan on renting this mobile home for two years @_idekcats @jennyrose1145

My parents bought an awesome double wide for their retirement and put it in upper Michigan. you can build a basement under them too or a storm shelter. I like Mobil homes and I wouldn't give a s**t what anyone else thought lol!!

My sister use to stay in one and my family stay and some .. The have some nice ones... But I wouldn't worry about what other people think .. Tell think to start paying your rent then they can say something

Its all about who your neighbors are. they reflect badly on you if it's a nice community/park that the managers don't take any crap/trashed out tenants then I WOULDN'T worry about the opinions of others. we moved to a nice trailer park when I was younger. the manager that was there had to move and they brought in a new manager and the place went to crap.

the area looks nice, and every lawn is cut. I drove around and didn't see any trash or ppl hanging outside. so I'm hoping it will be ok @kiml7613 @michellevaldez4750 @mommyoftwo1 . I'm just tired of apartments and having ppl living on top of me. and I don't feel safe because anyone can just walk in the building. ..thanks guys. I already got approved. will move in June 1

I lived in a "trailer" that was actually just a pre manufactured home that sat on a slab! It was 22k payment and lot rent was $700 a month we had a large yard all the houses were spaced nice so everyone had room. Yards kept nice! I had a garden tub and a bathroom in the master bedroom.. My only complaint was they're like living in a tin can.. Winters are cold and summers are HOT especially if you don't have trees to shade you! There were days my air was set to 65 and it was still 80 in there!!

Girl please I was raised in one and wouldn't mind another one. I know people making 60 70,000 a year that Stay in one. if u like it go for it. More convenient than a house and cheaper bill wise. @number321

I lived in a Mobil home park in Tucson years ago. I loved it! :) it's way better than an apartment or duplex where you've got ppl who can hear through your walls and you have to smell everyone's nasty food lol!

I loved it now things are different they have to be properly insulated central air and all. You can get insurance I think through Statefarm for weather protection. But I was down south though. But I looked into ones in Lynnwood a couple of years ago brand new 795 a month me and my ex and didn't get approved because of his credit and I didn't make enough alone. I'm thinking of moving back down south and that's what I will be staying in on 2 acres of land. @number321

I bet. yuk! I always hated that too. and my husband talked me in to buying a duplex as our first house which was supposed to be for 3 years. it's been 7 and 1/2 now and I'm getting so irritated especially with another baby coming we have NO MORE room!

I live in a trailer now. well we own it. it was run down we paid $500 for it and moved it and put $10k into it over 3yrs time remodeling it. all new floors, walls, insulation, carpet, tile electrical, etc. they are like living in a tin can. we already have our air running for summer. we have 2 trees in our front yard that are 8ish yrs old they're about 12ft tall theyre gonna eventually shade our house but summers get hot

@kiml7613, that's super cheap for a complete home remodel! how is the insulation though? once the heat or air is on does it hold the temp pretty well?

I have been. and now my mom is not only giving us first dibs on her house next year when they go to Michigan but she's also giving it to us at a $15,000 discount! so I'd really live that! its the house I grew up in :) so far he says yeah but he changes his mind like most ppl change clothes! lol
