You can mentioned where he stationed. You can't mention the exact units name, dates of any kind of leave, when and where deployment is, and or basically training dates. As long as you don't add like unit name, you can say. Most people know most of the military bases as is.

However I want to say thank you for being a cautions person, there is not many out there.
