I didn't. Things can go so many ways I figured that there's not much of a point in having this idea of how it's going to happen. I think maybe looking up some breathing techniques is a good idea if you don't go to classes though.
I did, this is my first so I think they were really beneficial lol. She taught us some positions to do while labor, breathing techniques, things to expect during labor, things about the baby like jaundice, how they breath, cutting the cord etc.., and she showed us a video of a real labor. I liked it and the last class we had a tour of the hospital 😊
I took one with my SO. We both feel more prepared and more comfortable knowing what to expect. It's also a good way to meet other moms in your area and have someone going through the same things as you close by.
