oh no. i really dislike the name when it is said as a Y sound. it jus sounds ugly . idk what to do. i feel that if i make it Joana people will make it sound non Spanish @mimiz

If you want it to be pronounced as Joana why not spell it that way? I had a friend named Johanna and they pronounced it Joana :)

because i wanted it to be different. my cousin from PRs name is Yeimy pronounced Jamie. but of course everyone in Puerto Rico understands and says it correctly. #AmericanProbs i will probably go with Joahna or Johanna. thanks! @canaryv

No I understand that lol I had a friend named Yennifer but she preferred it the way it was spelled. She hated to be called Jennifer lol. My name is super easy, Chelsea pronounced Chel-see but you won't believe how many have messed that up lol

I used to go by Ginny, but the people would call me Guinea (which led to guinea pig) now I just go by Gin lol
