why is it necessary for the doc to continuously check the cervix every week??

For me my doctor checked me every week because he said h

If I ever got to a 4+ he would send me straight to the hospital to give birth

To see if you're dilated..

yeah I know that lol but every time I've seen them, no dilation and every time they check, it has left me to be in pain the rest of the day 😥 @jordydefrank

I've been checked since 34 weeks and haven't dilated at all 🙄but yes unfortunately that can happen after they check you. Especially this far along everything is just uncomfortable

It's not necessary. My doctor only checks if it's needed, like you're having strong contractions or there is bleeding etc. . You can refuse.

My doctor doesn't check till 40 weeks unless you want him to

my docs are always in a damn hurry and if I say no, I feel like I get put on trial. I know they are doctors but I know my body and I feel every change, son hasn't dropped and I know my cervix is STILL closed. I've gotten to a point where I'm procrastinating on making my next appt cuz I don't like the fact that i have no say towards anything. @ashalay88 @mommytobe98
