It depends. If you want to stop breastfeeding engorgment is actually good and it'll be that way for about a week. You don't want to express any milk if you want to stop because your body will keep producing as long as you're expressing it. Cabbage leaves help. Now if you don't want to stop producing milk just pump or hand express the milk.

There over filled, if you gone stop breastfeeding completely then there gone be engorged for few days or a week. You can pump if you still want your baby drink breast milk, I pump my boob and give my son breast milk through the bottle

same thing happened to me. I stopped breastfeeding the first week. it went down the next day and it has been fine ever since.
