how do you guys feel about a man owing 1,200 child support because he wasn't able to find a job for…

No I wouldn't call him irresponsible.. He does have to take care of himself too. He's doing what he can right now. At least he paid it for years without getting behind.

No... bad things happen. as long as he's actually trying then I would never look down on him or make him feel irresponsible.. unfortunately bad things happen and sometimes it's hard to get back on your feet!

I feel like he is doing what he can to make sure his children are provided for since he paid all those years and this is his first time falling behind. Things happen when if comes go having a job, so I'm sure he's just trying to get things back to the way it was before this happened

thank you ladies, she's just asking him to get diapers for the girls but he can't afford it .. it's why he doesn't know how to even respond back to her msgs without her getting mad at him and calling him out @rockysmommy roc @lezette. @ginnalynn. @littlemissrainesmommy

I don't think that that should be held against him but when you have child support set up through the courts it doesn't matter whether or not you feel like giving him a break child support Bureau does not care and they will make sure that money gets paid one way or another

right and that's totally fine, and he's still going to owe her the difference, but at the moment they took his taxes away, and he owes 1200, they will take what he owes out of his paychecks but they haven't yet. So it's why with his checks he's paying all that he needs to pay in order to have a place and light and a car. he actually found a great job at a hospital and he's going to go to school to be able to support more for his kids, but right now as of this month they haven't taken it out yet and he just feels bad that he can't support diapers for them

I just wish she would work and not have spent 2000 that she just got 2 weeks ago on God knows what .. it's not my place, but she should have bought diaperss and whatever else the kids needed.. 480 a month doesn't support them. the kids yeah but shouldn't be for her to live on it too.. @michellevaldez4750

My boys father is over 26,000 behind for them, so it is not bad that he is 1200 and trying to get caught up. My boys father isn't even trying to find work or pay. He refused to file taxes for the last 5 years so that they don't take any return he might have gotten. It sounds like the guy is trying to make amends and do what is right for his kids.

If it's your boyfriend then it kind of is your place especially if he's trying to do right by his kids. Some women see child support as their money and not the kids :( obviously paying bills with it is also what it's for but not for new shoes or a hairstyle for mom!

too bad he can't give her the stuff for the kids instead of the $$ . :-\

@cgaona, no, not at all he's doing everything he can which is good. unlike my baby's dad who is trying to do everything to say it isn't his child, so he won't have to pay.

@michellevaldez4750, because men think they can get off easy I guess, but in the long run the pay and sometimes it's hell for them, and yes it is pathetic.

@81516mommy2be whenever my husband and I get into an argument he likes to tell me that he's going to move away and just pay child support and not have anything to do with the kids like that is some kind of threat for me to have to take care of my kids on my own. I enjoy spending time with my kids so he's only hurting himself and the kids doing that
