Any advice welcome! My son is 2 months old and he has a large tongue it causes problems with him latching he needs a long nipple to get back far enough for him to latch otherwise his tongue hits the roof of his mouth breaking suction during a feeding. We have tried several bottles including Dr. Brown, Nuk, Playtex Ventaire, MAM, Medla, Munchkin Latch, Tommee Tippee and Advent. The doctor gave us some samples of a cleft palate cleft lip Enfamil nipples and they worked great for him but they're a nipple you only use a few times then throw away. His insurance doesn't cover the nipples and I can't find the nipples he uses anywhere to buy. Any ladies have latching problems what's a good bottle with a long nipple?

@ladywireman, okay I think I found something I was looking it up and Google and if you go to enfamil they have those bottles or google mead Johnson cleft palate nursed bottles they look like this and you can buy them buy the case of the enfamil website

Nipple/bottle question: when my son was in the NICU they had to put him on formula until my milk came in. He got used to the disposable nipples they used and I'm having trouble getting him transitioned to a regular bottle/nipple. Has anyone else experienced this. They started him on a nuk disposable but there aren't any regular nuk nipples with that same shape and he has rejected the other nuk products. Everything seems to flow out way too fast, even the slow flow newborn nipples. Any advice? Thanks

So pedi recommended switching baby boy to enfamil AR. He’s been on it a couple days so far and his gulping has improved significantly. But.... we’re using dr browns bottles with level 1 nipples and it’s taking him so long to eat a 3oz bottle and he keeps falling asleep at every feeding and not wanting to finish his bottle. Which was never a prob before. Should I use level 2 nipples?
