Then why does everybody refer to the 20 week ultrasound as the anatomy scan?

In other countries other than the states they're called scans I think the United States are the only ones that regularly use the word ultrasound

damn my midwife calls them scans...and my 19 week US was the "anatomy scan"

but it technically is a scan..

Oh yeah absolutely! I know exactly what you mean hahah and when those words are used you just wanna stab the person using them lol I totally get it
