Is it good to take baths while healing after delivery?

I'm my discharge papers it says no do you have yours? they give them to you at the hospital

Mine said yes, but the doc said not to. Idk if they meant for the first few days or what... I wasn't told much of anything

you can actually call your ob idk how yours works but mine it has the extension for the nurses station if they don't answer you can leave a message and they'll give you a call back

My papers said showers and baths were okay to take but then also said soaps and oils could cause infection so I wasnt sure also.

I was told no baths for six weeks. I desperately wanted one, but I didn't.
