I'm so upset at my job! They gave us new handbooks today, which I was initially looking forward to getting, until I read the parental leave section. So instead of me getting the original 12 weeks of leave, I now get 6 and the earliest I can take off is the week before I'm due. So instead of getting the two weeks I planned for to get my last minute things together and rest which I need, I won't I'll be spending my week anticipating her arrival. Ugh! To top it off but God forbid my baby gets sick I won't have no more parental leave because we only get 6 weeks per year.

I would call and double check with the benefits department and see if you are grandfathered into the old handbook since you were pregnant during that time, etc. they will give you all the correct info.

@kenitra, my boss and I are supposed to talk to our director tomorrow. I asked if I could at least get 8 weeks. It just really frustrated me.
