What's the earliest they can tell on ultrasound what you're having?

I think most places say 16 weeks just to be sure

I paid 100$ last week to find out and I was like 15 weeks then.

i found at 18 weeks 4 days only because I paid for the elective ultrasound. i found out i was pregnant at 12 weeks....so ultrasound after i found out i was expecting was to see how far along I was. if i didn't pay for the EU, i would have had to wait til my anatomy scan @22 weeks.

my doctor told me that my baby "looked" like a girl at my very first appointment which was 11w4d. he said that if he was correct it would have been the earliest in his career (40 years +) that he was able to tell the gender, I could even see the lines he was talking about. he was RIGHT!! my baby must have developed her genitals early. lol at 20 weeks he confirmed it! I'm pretty sure depending on the position of the baby they can tell at 14 weeks because the genitals are formed by then.

My old ob in Missouri told us we were having a girl in 2010, at 13 weeks. She's almost 6 now.

Wow that's early :) hopefully my future OB will do it rather quickly and I don't need an outside ultrasound but if not I don't mind paying for it :) @jimenez310

Yes it was correct. We found out at the obgyn tho.
