So ive tried the oatmeal bath on Kai and put on Vitamin E oil after the bath...he still scratches.…

We use aquaphor and cetaphil.

@momma1, at his 4 month check up,the dr said he had dry skin and gave him hydrocortisone.but after it was all gone,it came back.6 month appt he still said it was dry skin and didnt look at it anymore..but i know its eczema.

I had the same issue, my doctor said it was from breast milk getting on him but I definitely thought it was more, so we brought baby to a dermatologist. This doctor prescribed for us hydrocortisone too, but that was mainly for the redness. He also prescribed a cream called ketoconazole and that's really what cleared up the eczema for us, but the doctor had us mix the two creams together @kdcmommy26

@kdcmommy26, They should have given you another. I get two the hydrocortisone and something called triamcinolone and I have to apply it twice a day everyday even if it's gone

@kdcmommy26, I also switched to unscented everything from wipes, soap and laundry detergent. I also use aveeno cream no lotions also they tell you to only bathe them once a day and no more than 15 mn and with warm water

@arielannette, i breastfeed but i thought breast milk helps with alot of things.his dr's colleague gave him ketoconazole shampoo for cradle cap and hydrocortisone cream for the baby acne.i bathe him in the shampoo and it helped,i forgot about the shampoo..i have a little left,im going to use it tonight.

@momma1, they gave me hydrocortisone cream for baby acne and hydrocortisone lotion for the dry skin.i had stopped using johnson & johnson when it started flairing up bad.ive only been using aveeno eczema wash and lotion.and i use All baby detergent..for baths i let him play maybe 5 mins and give him a bath.

Don't worry, the breast milk is definitely helping with a lot! I breastfeed too. Apparently baby eczema is quite common @kdcmommy26
