so I just need to vent lol I'm on strict bed rest as of this week after they stopped labor on Monday, we have a ten yr old who is in school so no problems there but we also have a two yr old who is super rowdy lol we got a new house a couple hours away from my family but Hubby's family lives in Columbus by us so we have asked his mom to come stay with us for a few days to help out and what not with the house and 2yr old, (times like this wish my family was close as well !) any who, his mom is here and been sleeping all morning I shouldn't be doing all I have been doing this morning and hubby at work he telling me to wake her ass up that's what she here for is to help and she can't if she sleep! I feel bad waking her up , I feel bad in general having other people come in and do what I should be doing for my house and family! I know I need the help and I'm being stubborn but I feel guilt to and I know I know I shouldn't but it's hard ladies! anyone else have been put on bed rest and had to get help from in-laws or family in general?how did you deal with your feelings ?

I understand, I would feel exactly the same way. Maybe the stuff can wait a little bit? I would try and get the two year old to settle down and watch something on TV with you, and if she's still asleep, then let him wake her up.

I was on bed rest for months with a one year old and had to get help from everyone. I know those feelings. It's not easy but you need to wake her up. How bad would you feel if something happened with your baby because you did too much?

Agree with @henrysmommy I mean if she wasn't there you'd need to deal with it on your own anyways. If she's there intending to help you don't want to act like her boss either lol worst case I guess you could send the two year old in.

I wasn't on bed rest but I had 2 c-sections and I wasn't able to do a lot for a few weeks and had to rely on my mom and my in laws... I felt horrible, my mom was doing my laundry for me for the first time since I was like 11 and carrying my groceries upstairs.... I just kept telling myself that I wouldn't like the outcome if I tried to be super woman.... do what hubby said and wake her up if she is there to help
